Karnataka, the state which has provided the stage to many a historic event is also in the limelight of puranic happenings. Humpi in Ballari district has a legendary reference since it is supposed to have been the capital city Kishkinda of the mythical anthropoid King Vali who was succeeded by his brother Sughriva, with the aid of Lord Sri Rama, mediated by Lord Sri Anjaneya in the great epic Ramayana.The lavishly wonderful landscape of the state undulates between 600 and 900 mts above sea level. The exciting range of verdant mountains whose slopes are inundated with flora and fauna is aptly punctuated by amazing aqueducts, waterfalls and gorgeous gorges. Karnataka has Andhra Pradesh on the east, Arabian Sea on the west, Maharashtra and Goa on the north-west, and on the south, the states of Kerala and Tamil Nadu. The state is linked to a length of 320 km by sea coast. The coastline gives rise to some beautiful beaches.

ISRO will be launched PSLV-C30 Astrosat
PSLV-C30 Astrosat is first observatory to study distant celestial objects, will be launched on 28th September 2015. Its weight is 1513kg and estimate cost around 180 crore. Astrosat will study black holes, scan the distant universe, star birth regions beyond our galaxy.
